Dr. Theron J. Bliss is a primary care sports medicine fellowship-trained physician specializing in non-surgical orthopedic care, sports injuries, musculoskeletal medicine, and active lifestyle management. He completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences after earning dual bachelor’s degrees in Physiology and Zoology from Oklahoma State University.
Dr. Bliss completed his Family Medicine internship and residency at the University of Oklahoma through Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa before pursuing a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas.
With more than a decade of experience in sports medicine, Dr. Bliss has cared for athletes of all ages and activity levels throughout Oklahoma.
Dr. Bliss has extensive experience providing sports coverage and sideline care, including serving as Team Physician for FC Tulsa from 2020–2025, as well as physician coverage for multiple high school athletic programs, endurance events, and boxing tournaments.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Bliss has contributed to medical education through teaching, research, and presentations in sports medicine and musculoskeletal care. He has also remained active in community service and volunteer medical outreach throughout his career. Dr. Bliss currently serves as the team orthopedist for Glenpool Athletics.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Bliss enjoys coaching and sports coverage, spending time with family, golf, exercise, and music.
