Dr. Wild is a native of Tulsa, graduating from Union High School in 2005. After completing his undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State and medical training at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Wild spent 5 years in Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Wright State University in Dayton, OH. During this time, he trained with surgeons at Miami Valley Hospital, the Dayton VA and Dayton Children’s Hospital. During this time, he enjoyed learning about every aspect of orthopaedics but became especially interested in knee, hip and shoulder replacements, arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee and fracture care.
Dr. Wild then entered active duty service with the Air Force as a Captain. He was soon promoted to Major and spent most of his time taking care of soldiers, retirees and their dependents as the Orthopaedic Surgery Element Leader at Wright-Patterson Medical Center in Dayton, OH. During his service, Dr. Wild was deployed to Afghanistan for 6 months where he served as Chief of Orthopaedics at Craig Joint Theatre Hospital at Bagram Airfield during June-November 2020.
Dr. Wild married a nursing student that he met in medical school. They have two children. After completing his time in the service, Dr. Wild and his wife decided to return home to Tulsa so they could more easily enjoy spending time with their family. Dr. Wild is looking forward to taking his family to some OSU football and basketball games in person and attending some Thunder games, now that they’re back. Dr. Wild is also excited to begin growing his practice and helping his neighbors, here in Tulsa and the surrounding communities.
