At the Spine Center of Tulsa Bone & Joint, we provide the highest quality and effective care for all spine problems. Each patient is carefully evaluated by a team of spine specialists that develops an appropriate plan to treat your specific needs.
Most people in their lifetime will experience some type of back pain. Typically, pain is caused by an injury or by degeneration in the spine. Most problems are self-limited; they resolve within a few days by using over-the-counter medications and limiting activities. When back pain is severe or lasts for more than a week or two, you should be evaluated by a medical provider.
Our spine specialists have many tools to help determine the cause of your back or neck pain, including a thorough evaluation, X-rays, MRI, and electrodiagnostic studies. Once the provider has made a diagnosis, he or she will recommend a treatment plan that might involve medication, spinal injections, physical therapy, bracing, and surgery when necessary.
Healthy Spine Institute
A nurse practitioner specially trained in back pain care leads the Healthy Spine Institute. The Healthy Spine Institute’s goal is to provide non-invasive solutions to back pain. Patients will be referred to a higher level of care if needed.
If your treatment includes spine surgery, you can be confident knowing that you are in excellent hands. Our spine doctors use state-of-the-art minimally invasive techniques whenever possible to help patients recover in a shorter period of time and with less pain.
