Five stars are not enough for Dr. Travis Joe Small at Tulsa Bone & Joint Associates. His level of professionalism, medical expertise, and thoroughness is unmatched. He, Becca Zabienski, Tyler Wilcox, PA, and the whole team took the time to answer every question clearly and made the entire process seamless and reassuring.
The practice is run efficiently, and the level of care is top-notch. Highly recommended to anyone in need of an orthopedic specialist!

I am a patient of Dr. Reid and his team at Tulsa Bone & Joint Associates. I enjoyed total replacement of both hips in 2026 using the HipXpert system they offer. Everything about this experience has exceeded my expectations. The hardware and medicine side of it are … well … what we old people might call “Space Age.” My friends call me the six million dollar man, but I remind them that with inflation it’s more like ten million dollars. All kidding aside the procedure under Medicare was eye-poppingly affordable. I would do it again except I don’t have any hips left that need replacing.
A word about patient care and administration: I am critical of a lot of the healthcare management available in Oklahoma. I am a patient at Mayo, which I hold up as a Gold Standard. Tulsa Bone & Joint is so far ahead of the curve in this area, they deserve special mention for how perfectly they inducted me into their system, and how they have managed my care every step of the way. Tulsa Bone & Joint is on a par with that Best in Class level of patient care. Most of the rest of Oklahoma needs to pay attention here and get with the program. Healthcare in most of the rest of Oklahoma should be ashamed of itself.

Great group of people. My father broke his elbow and they have helped tremendously, it was a pretty bad brake so they made sure to get us in quickly and efficiently, the surgery went well and recovery too. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable, our surgeon was amazing, everyone knows the process and what to do and made this ordeal very easy to deal with. Thanks to the staff and everyone who helped.
I have been a patient at Tulsa Bone and Joint since 2012. I have gone to the urgent care, seen 4 surgeons and their assistants, 3 surgeries at Union Pines, physical therapists, had x-rays, MRI’s, and am scheduled for my second surgery this year in the near future. Each and every person I’ve met has been kind, professional, and had my best interest at heart. Thank you is not enough, but it will have to do. I have on-going orthopedic issues and I am happy to have this my specific physicians and staff care for my needs.
Everyone was friendly and efficient. Have never seen so many employees that were all friendly. Our service was amazing. Will recommend this urgent care to everyone. Thank you again for our visit being so good!
I was seen by Dr. Dressler starting in May. I was appreciative of his care. He did my ankle surgery on May 19th and was released today, 8/12/2025. He really cared about me and my healing. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. All his staff was great every time I had a visit. Thanks again to Dr. Dressler and your staff.

Probably one of the fastest and most respectable medical facilities I’ve visited in Tulsa. I was into my appointment quickly, the staff moved through the process professionally while still being friendly, and attentive.
The attending was fast, professional, and also did not waste a bunch of my time while still listening to my concerns.
The brace shop, adjacent to the building, which sets you up with braces and casts, got me in and out quickly, the tech was a marvel at his job 10/10

Dr. Chris Martin and his staff were absolutely amazing! I was in severe pain, and they treated me with such kindness and urgency. They quickly performed an X-ray, administered a cortisone injection, and even called in an anti-inflammatory prescription to my pharmacy—all in one visit. I truly appreciate their compassionate and efficient care!
This was a surprisingly good experience. They staff was friendly and very organized. Since I went to urgent care I was expecting a prolonged wait, that wasn’t the case at all! Very professional and knowledgeable!
I have had several orthopedic surgeries from TB&J physicians. I have also had the pleasure of working with them as an Ortho RN. One thing that sets this group apart is the personalized care you receive as a patient. You never feel like you’re being herded through like cattle!!! When you have an appt with your physician, you see your physician, in the office and while in the hospital. Dr. Slater performed a Total Knee Replacement for me last year and I have had the Greatest of results!!! Thank you TB&J for all your specialized care with such kindness and graciousness!!!

Unlike a previous orthopedic surgeon in the 13th and Utica area, Dr. Marci Clements spent a lot of time speaking with me about my upcoming knee replacement. She really cares.
UPDATE, NOVEMBER 2022: I now have two new knees, no longer limping, no more constant pain, no more walking bow legged. Legs are getting stronger everyday…I even walked up three flights of stairs to my son’s third-floor apartment. That would have been impossible a year ago! Another shoutout to Dr. Marci Clements!
UPDATE #2: It’s been two years since my second knee replacement. Maybe it’s not recommended, but I can run now! No pain, I can do yard work, mow my lawn, go bowling, do the chicken dance with my granddaughters, and stay on my feet for hour upon hour, shopping with my wife 🤨. But I can do it pain free. Again, thank you, Dr. Clements! You’re alright for a Longhorn grad 🤣.

Tulsa Bone and Joint is a great place for health care. Dr.Balbas and Missy are so easy to work with. They listen to me and care about my issues. They replaced my left knee in March and the right knee will be replaced in July and I am fully confident that all will go well. Thank you for all you do for me

Dr. Martin is an amazing physician who is extremely knowledgeable of his profession. He’s polite, courteous and sensitive to the needs of his patients. He has been performing my back injections for several years and I wouldn’t consider using anyone else.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Lovelace for several years now for knee issues. He has taken very good care of me, I rarely wait long in the weight room, and other services such as imaging are always very efficient at Tulsa, Bone and Joint.
I have been to Tulsa Bone and Joint many times but this was a first for Dr Nunley. Found him to be very interested my problem. A very good listener as he examined my foot/heel. After diagnosis he offered 3 options of which I picked two. Very pleased with his service.
I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when I was 23 years old. I didn’t start treating it until I was done having children in 2021. Dr. Surbeck was there the entire time from diagnoses to treatment. He is very friendly and listens to all of my concerns. I know there are very few rheumatologists left in Tulsa but he never hurried me during my appointment. His nurse staff is very friendly too and makes me feel comfortable. If you suffer from any autoimmune disorders, I recommend Dr. Surbeck extremely highly. I feel confident in my future health knowing he’s there monitoring my condition.
