Tulsa Bone and Joint wishes Dr. Scott Dunitz a very happy retirement! As one of our founding partners and a forerunner in joint replacement surgery in Tulsa for 37 years, Dr. Dunitz will truly be missed. Initially, while attending the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, Dr. Dunitz considered a career in pediatrics. However, during his third year of medical school, it became apparent that his passion was fixing things and getting quick results.
The influence of his father, the late great Dr. Norman Dunitz, finally rubbed off on him. Plus, he was excited to get to work with power tools! We can’t recognize Scott without also recognizing Harriet, his wife of 47 years. While he was a busy orthopedist, Harriet was busy raising three children and operating as his moral compass.
Tulsa Bone and Joint will not be the same without Dr. Dunitz. We are grateful to his many contributions to our practice and to orthopedic care in Tulsa, and we wish him a very happy retirement!
